Addressing a gathering of voters, Siddaramaiah said that the BJP has forced this by poll on the people. Stating that the BJP-led state government has shown its true colors, he said that 11 ministers have been either jailed or are being investigated on multiple charges of illegal mining, corruption, rave parties, porn-viewing scandals, land scams, and so on for the first time in the history of the state.

Stating that the power situation in Karnataka has become worse than ever during the BJP rule, he said that the energy minister blames the union government for not supplying adequate coal. He also pointed out that 123 taluks in the state are facing drought-related challenges.

Criticizing B. S. Yeddyurappa, he said that Yeddyurappa’s recent court victory cannot possibly bring him joy as he is facing 8 more cases.

He urged the gathering to vote for the Congress as the only way to remedy the problems created by the BJP.

Congress leaders B. K. Mohan, MLA Abhayachandra Jain, and many others were also present.
