Firm accused of cheating students after promising jobs in Army

Mangalore, Oct 30, 2013 : Several students as well as their parents staged a protest in front of  a training institute  of Kulshekhar   alleging that the institute had cheated students  after collecting  hefty fees  and promising  jobs in the army.

 It has been alleged that the firm named The Academy of Career Guidance had  collected  fees ranging from Rs 30,000 to Rs 1.2 lakhs from  several students after promising  clerical and technical posts in the Indian Army.

 Manoj PD of Sakleshpur who was one among  the protestors has alleged  that   even eight months after paying the fees, there was no sight of job. In another case, Chennayya, a daily wager too had   admitted his son Manjunath BC to this institute by paying Rs 50,000. Even the reimbursement cheque  issued by the firm has bounced, he said.

 Meanwhile, Dalita Sangharsha Samithi leader S.P.Dayananda has alleged that  the Trust Chairman named  Santosh Kumar S  has threatened him and also made an attempt to attack him through rowdies just because the Samithi along with Samatha Sainik Samithi of Hassan had stood in support of the  victims.
