Fire destroys cracker shop at Kadri

Mangalore, Nov 2, 2013 : A cracker shop near the Kadri Rotary Office was reduced to ashes in a fire in the early hours of November 1, Saturday.
The shop was owned by one Madhusudan. The fire broke out after an unidentified man hurled some object towards the shop. Within minutes the shop went up in flames leaving nothing. Though a man was sleeping inside, he managed to rush out and escape.
Though another person was inside a nearby cracker shop, he too rushed to safety and escaped unhurt. However a Honda Activa which was parked nearby was destroyed in the fire.
Fire service personnel from Pandeshwar who rushed to the spot, helped in extinguishing the fire.
