Mangalore, April 30, 2013: DM Aslam, former president of the District JD(S) Minorities Cell has said that he would campaign for Mangalore South Congress candidate JR Lobo. He has also stated that his only aim was to defeat JD(S) candidate SP Changappa.
Speaking to reporters, he said JR Lobo was a sincere man and added that the sitting BJP MLA who was elected four times from this constituency had failed to achieve anything.
Continuing, he said JD(S) has lost its existence in the district and added except senior leader Amarnath Shetty no other candidate will secure more than 2000 votes.
Aslam said he has already tendered resignation to the primary membership of the party but State chief Kumaraswamy had said he would not take any decision on the resignation until May 15.
