Engineering student commits suicide on railway tracks

Mangalore, July 6, 2012 : A student of St. Joseph’s Engineering College committed suicide by lying on the railway tracks at Suterpet on July 5, Thursday.

 

The deceased is Reynold Miranda (21), son of Wilfred Miranda. He had left home at around 6:00 p.m. on July 5, leaving behind a suicide note stating that no one is responsible for his death. He had even met most of his friends before he died.

Reynold lost his mother when he was in the VI standard. He has an elder sister, who completed her engineering course and went to Bangalore to pursue her career. It is widely believed that Reynold was feeling depressed when he committed suicide.

His father Wilfred Miranda recently got married to a woman, who has two children.

The Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
