District BJP protests against fuel price hike

Mangalore, Sep 2, 2013: The members of district BJP staged a protest in front of DC office on September 2, Monday opposing the petrol price hike.

Addressing the protestors, the district BJP president Pratap Simha Nayak said that Congress is breaking backbone of Indian economy with its irresponsible measures. The congress government has made the life of common man miserable with the increase of prices for various commodities due to the decline of rupee.

The price hike in fuel prices has lead to various other price hike including bus, grocery and other commodities, he said.

He urged the government to reduce the fuel prices immediately and control the decline of rupee in the international market.

Former District BJP president Padmanabha Kottary, Former state child welfare committee president Sulochana Bhat,MLC Monappa Bhandary and others were present.
