Dist admn urged to form panel to protect Konajekallu Siddhashrama

Mangalore, Feb 25, 2013: The residents of Padukonaje and Konajekallu Siddhashrama, under the aegis of the  Padukonaje Grama Hithachintakaru staged a protest in front of DC office on Feb 25, Monday urging the district administration to form an authorized committee for the development of Konaje Kallu Siddhashrama,Moodbidri.

Addressing the protesters, Sudatta Jain of Akhila Bharatha Karmika Sangha said though the land of Konajekallu Siddhashrama is identified as a tourist spot  and is in Government  custody,  some
unauthorized committees which  have been formed were claiming themselves as the guardians of Konaje Kallu Siddhashrama.

He urged the district administration to look into the matter and constitute an authorized committee for the development and maintenance of the place.

He also alleged that some illegal activities which were taking place in the area  were also spoiling its reputation. All such activities can be curbed, once an authorized committee is formed, he said.
