Developmental works in Naxal affected areas to speed up: DC N Prakash

Mangalore, Nov 30, 2013: DC N Prakash said that the developmental works undertaken in Naxal affected areas in Belthangady is going on high speed.


Speaking at the review meeting chaired by DC at DC Court on Nov 29, Friday, he said that the sanctioned projects in Naxal affected areas must be completed without further delay.

DC also said that construction of over bridges must be completed within the deadline of December 31 and the higher officials will be sent for inspection of the project.


He also said that as many as 44 developmental works will be undertaken in three phases at an estimated expenditure of Rs.481 lacks in the Naxal affected areas. The Government has already released Rs.437 lakhs out of the total sanctioned amount and the amount of Rs. 141 lakhs has been spent by implementing officers.


The developmental projects like Anganwadi building construction, minor bridge construction, connecting road construction, concretization of road, drainage construction will be undertaken.


Around 21 eligible candidates from Malekudiya tribe have been appointed as Home Security Guards.  


ZP CEO Tulasi Madineni, SP Shanthanu Sinh and Additional Deputy Commissioner K Dayananand, were present.
