Sullia, July 18, 2012: Interacting with reporters during his visit to Devaragunda, his native place, on July 17, Tuesday, D. V. Sadananda Gowda, the former chief minister of Karnataka, lamented that the BJP party lacks discipline and said that the BJP high command must not bow to pressures exerted from one particular group within the party. He was, however, quick to add that he is not reviewing the BJP high command’s decision.

Stating that it will be impossible to be a good worker if one cannot respect one’s party, he said that he is willing to accept any task given to him by the high command. He  added that he has also not requested to know the reasons he was asked to step down from the post of CM.

Thanking his supporters, he said that the proposed rubber tyre factory will soon come up in Sullia because he has sanctioned ample funds for the development of his district.

Further, he said that he will not ask for a post, but will accept any post given to him. He also pointed out that the BJP came to power in Karnataka when he was its president.

When a reporter asked him if he would be contesting from Puttur during the next assembly elections, Mr. Gowda said that the present MLA will get the ticket.
