Udupi, September 9, 2012: Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the BJP’s Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at Kidiyoor Sheshashayana Hall on September 9, Sunday, Sadanananda Gowda, the former chief minister of Karnataka, urged everybody to follow the example of Lord Krishna.
Revealing information about the BJP’s plans for the upcoming elections, he said that the election campaign begins tomorrow, adding that 25% extra workers will be involved in the campaigns this time.
Mosaru Kudike was held in front of the hall after the inaugural program. Thousands of people watched as the teams formed human pyramids to reach the pot, which was placed 50ft above ground level.
Several BJP leaders and workers such as Raghupathi Bhat, Nalin Kumar Kateel, Monappa Bhandary, Geethanjali Suvarna, and others were present.
