DVS dons grease paint for ‘Chella Pilli’

Mangalore, Dec 16,2012: Former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda was in Mangalore on December 15, Saturday, for an entirely different reason. Not to talk politics or take part in political meetings, but to don the grease paint and face the camera.
Gowda has a small role in the upcoming Kannada movie ‘Chella Pilli,’ starring Vijay Raghavendra and Aishwarya Nag. DVS has just a three minute role in the movie and the former CM which his disarming smile got the acting right in a single take.
The scenes were shot at City Centre Mall in Mangalore wherein Gowda had to inaugurate a children’s store by the hands of a little girl. In the film, the little girl who has been kidnapped gets reunited with family and Gowda spends some time with the girl. All the three scenes were shot at the Mall itself by videographer PL Ravi.
The film is directed by Sai Krishna, a Mangalorean , while Sudesh Bhandary is the producer. Others in the star cast include comedy artistes Satish Bandale, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar and Bhojaraj Vamanjoor.
