Mangalore, Feb 8, 2013 : Ajai Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank has been conferred with the Suryadatta National Lifetime Achievement Award 2013 for excellence in the field of Banking and Finance. The Award is instituted by the Suryadatta Group of Industries, Pune.

He received the Award from Sambhaji Patil, President, Trishakti Foundation and Dr Sanjay B Chordiya, Founder President and Chairman, Suryadatta Group of Institutes, at an award ceremony held at Pune on February 7, Thursday. Ajai Kumar was chosen for the Award in recognition of his stellar contribution to the banking industry, holding key position and being instrumental in instituting progressive banking practices through a hands-on and practice driven approach.

Suryadatta National Awards are conferred every year on the occasion of the Foundation Day of the Group, to stalwarts from different fields who have rendered selfless services in various fields for the growth of the nation and enrichment of the society.

A distinguished panel of jury drawn from eminent corporate leaders, scholars, bureaucrats and administrators selects the Awardees.
