Cops thwart Bhajrangdal plan to raid music café at Valencia

Mangalore, Feb 2, 2013: A possible Bhajrangdal raid on a music café  at Valencia was averted by a timely action of the Pandeshwar police who rushed to the spot well in advance on February 2, Saturday evening.

According to sources, the Bhajrangdal had planned an attack on the place on the grounds that immoral activities were underway.Initially,the police who acted on a tip off  had arrived at the G6 Music Cafe to avert the attack. But, this led to some amount of panic as  students who were at a DJ party there ran helter skelter.

 

 

But, the police who inspected the place, realized that the music café was run illegally and that the place had only the licence to operate a bar.  Despite this, a live band was scheduled to take place on the night of February 2, Saturday. The police who later raided the place  seized all the DJ equipment. The music café reportedly belongs to the son of a senior police official of Mangalore.
