Congressmen must derive inspiration from Gandhian way of struggle: Poojari

Mangalore Jan 31, 2013 : Senior Congress leader and former union minister  B Janardhan Poojari  has said that the Congress  workers must be committed to protect public interest at all times and derive inspiration from the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi whose non-violence means of struggle could help India attain freedom.

 

 

 

 

 

He was addressing a public meeting at Mulki  bus stand at Mulki on the second day of the Congress Padayatra from Ullal to Malpe to focus on the failures of the BJP government.

KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar who also spoke said only the Congress party can provide a pro-people administration. He alleged that developmental machinery in the state has come to a standstill during the BJP rule and added the BJP has proved that it was incapable of providing good administration.

He was also highly critical of the state ministers for failing to visit the drought hit areas and understand the problems of the people.

He said the Congress had organised the padayatra to  create an awareness in the society and to help people lead a life of peace and harmony.

He said the BJP government which was involved in irregularities to the tune of several lakhs of crores of rupees had no moral right to continue in power.

Opposition leader SR Patil,  BL Shanker, V Sudarshan, CM Ibrahim, DCC President B Ramanatha Rai, MLA UT Khader, DCC Vice President Ivan D’Souza, JR Lobo, Mithun Rai, BA Moidin, Mamatha Gatti, Mayor Gulzar Banu and several others were present.
