Mangalore, May 18, 2013: Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary has said that Congress has succeeding in inducting non-corrupt MLAs into the cabinet.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on May 18, Saturday, he said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is striving to implement the assurances given to the people in the Congress manifesto by refraining from giving cabinet berths to those having legal cases against them. None of the 28 members inducted into the cabinet have any corruption cases against them, Poojari said.
Continuing, Poojari said the High Command has made it a point to all the newly inducted ministers including the Chief Minister to refrain from corruption to remain in their posts. He urged the CM to give fair governance and retain the trust of the people. He also made a request to the new ministers from undivided DK to work for the development of the district and also to transform Mangalore into a model city.
“People’s expectation from Congress is very high and the new ministers must work from day one to live upto the expectations of the people, lest they will lose trust in us and treat us in a similar way as they treated BJP,” he added.
Congress leaders Suresh Ballal, Arun Coelho and Harikrishna Bantwal were present.
