Mangalore, May 1, 2013: CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat said that she came to Mangalore to render her support to three CPI(M) candidates of DK contesting for the assembly election.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Srinivas, she said that the political parties like Congress and BJP are claimed to be as real estate parties.
She also said that the fundamental issue and the critical issues of workers are thrown on streets. Another dimension is communalization of politics where the parties gain votes through religion.
Karat said that communal parties have attacked the liberty of the country. She said that regarding the distribution of BPL cards, no parties gave an alternative measures for the food security.
The central government has failed to give good administration with development and was involved in many major scams, whereas BJP too has failed to bring out the scams of central government, she said.
At present there is no protection of workers of unorganized sector, no social security, no housing sites, no basic facilities, hence people of the state must vote for the CPI(M) or left party candidates in order to look for the strong representation of workers in the state assembly.
It is the first time CPI(M) is contesting for 16 seats in Karnataka. CPI(M) is basically working on what it is seeing and not what other parties are doing, she said.

We have protested against it, but if government itself is involved in it, nothing can be done, he said.
Karat speaking on Modi visit to city said that Modi is a leader who breaks the society and his visit in the communal sensitive region like Mangalore may create more communal provocation.
