Congress Padayatra from Ullal to Malpe on Jan 29 to focus on BJP govt’s failures: Rai

Mangalore, Jan 25, 2013: Bantwal MLA Ramanath Rai said that KPCC will commence a padayatra from Abbakka Circle, Ullal to Malpe on Jan 29, Tuesday at 9.30 am.

Speaking at a press meet held at District Congress Office on Jan 25, Friday, he said that the padayatra will commence at Abbakka Circle, Ullal in the limits of Mangalore legislative assembly constituency and conclude at Malpe, which comes in the Udupi legislative assembly constituency limits on Feb 1, Friday.

He also said that the walkathon will be held in order to create general awareness among the people of twin districts about the failure of BJP led government and asking for changes in the governance.

Rai said that KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar, legislative opposition party leader Siddaramaiah, former union minister Oscar Fernandes, S R Patil, K H Muniappa, Vinay Kumar Sorake and R V Deshpande will participate in the walkathon, he said.

Congress leaders U T Khader, Vijaykumar Shetty, Ivan D’Souza, Mamatha Gatty, Praveenchandra Alva and others were present at the press meet.
