Mangalore, Nov 12, 2013: A workshop aimed at training block level representatives of the Congress in Mangalore and Moodbidri Assembly constituency limits, with an eye on the forthcoming parliamentary elections, was conducted on November 12, Tuesday here. Harsha Moily, entrepreneur and son of Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily is heading this programme as per the directive of the AICC.
The workshop aimed at training the party men to launch a multi-media campaign to sensitize the public on the various schemes initiated by the Congress government and also to tackle anti-propaganda by the opposition parties.
Speaking at the workshop, Harsha Moily said the main objective of the training programme was to prepare the young representatives of the party to reach out to the voters through social networking sites like Face Book, Twitter, blogging etc, He said the Congress which has been suffering successive defeats in some constituencies since the past few elections will be preparing the winning strategy this time in consultation with booth level workers.
UT Khader, State Health Minister,Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, Prakash Thumbay, Abbas Ali, Bharath Mundodi, Durgaprasad, Dinesh Rao, BH Khader, Tejomaya, Subhodaya Alva and others were present.
Senior trainer and media expert Mohanchandra and his team were the resource persons.
DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai who is also the DCC President, inaugurated the block level workshop for party workers of Belthangady, Sullia, Bantwal and Puttur Assembly constituency limits.
