Chennai Central to Mangalore express converted into a daily service

Mangalore, April 24, 2012 : The Chennai Central to Mangalore to Chennai Central express train numbers 12685 and 12686 have been converted into daily expresses with effect from Aug 20 in Mangalore and Aug 21 in Chennai Central.

chennai The Palakkad Division of Southern Railway has issued a press release stating that train number 12685/12686 Chennai Central to Mangalore to Chennai Central express will be converted into a daily owing to changes in advance reservation period to 120 days.

Changes will also be introduced in the schedule of another weekly train from Puducherry to Mangalore with effect from August. According to the release, the Puducherry to Mangalore weekly express number 16043, which currently leaves Puducherry on Tuesdays, will leave on Fridays from Aug 17. The train will run under a new number 16855 from Aug 17.

Besides, train number 16044 from Mangalore to Puducherry, which currently leaves Mangalore on Mondays, will leave on Saturdays from Aug 18 and its number will be changed to 16856.
