CIL to organize summer camps for children

Mangalore, Apr 6, 2012: In view of providing wholesome fun and a learning experience this summer, Centre for Integrated Learning, a Mangalore based not-for-profit organization will be organizing an array of camps for children ranging from Kintergarten to High School.


A press release stated that for tiny tots from LKG to Standard IV, the Summer camp of ten days will begin on April 9 and go on till April 19 (expect on Sundays). The sessions will be conducted in the forenoon between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm. Themes for the camp include speaking and listening skills, creativity, value inculcation, dance and music among lot of activities like mask making, clay modeling, making kites, paper bags and mime. 


Summer Camp for Kids


For students above standard VI, CIL has planned three camps focusing on different aspects of personality development. Leadership Effectiveness Camp is a self grooming programme that focuses on enhancing skills in public speaking, effective communication, career orientation, team building, creative writing etc. This eight-day non-residential camp will be held from April 18 to 25. 


A three-day Jungle Survival Camp is also on the offer from May 11, 12 and 13. This three-day residential camp for high school students enables them to fight the odds living in forest area, exploring nature, staying in a tribal hamlet. 


The other three-day residential camp is called `Sun Sea and Sand’, a beachside camp for high school students. This will be held from April 29 through May 1.


The SSS Camp includes visit to fisheries village, deep sea cruise, flying kits on the beach, sand sculpture, star gazing among other activities. The uniqueness of the SSS Camp is that the camp mates are drawn in equal number from affluent and very poor and under-privileged children who forget all differences as they stay, eat, make merry and learn under one roof that is the blue skies on the beachside. 


The batch strength of each of the camp is restricted so as to render individual attention and effective teaching learning process. 


Centre for Integrated Learning has been organizing numerous programmes  since the past three years,  for children and youth to add value to their schooling education.
