Bus barges into saloon to avoid hitting pedestrian

Mangalor, Nov 19, 2013 : A saloon located at Pandit House near Konaje in the outskirts of the city was damaged after a speeding bus crashed into the saloon in a bid to prevent knocking down a person who was crossing the road. The incident took place on November 18, Monday morning.

The bus was heading towards Mangalore from Vittal when the mishap took place. The bus driver Narayana veered the bus to the extreme side of the road in a bid to avert hitting the pedestrian. However, on seeing an electric pole he veered the bus further more and the vehicle headed straight inside the saloon.

Several goods inside the saloon were damaged. There are no reports of any injuries in the mishap.

It is High time, the Law Enforcing Departments should make Mandatory to instal SPEED Governers to ALL the CITY BUSES. This will be SAFTY to Pedestrains. As everyone knows at what Speed the Buses are plying and Overtaking in Crowded Roads.including Hampankatta.
