Bunts Bahrain elects Nagesh Shetty as president

Mangalore, Aug 30, 2012: Bunts Bahrain, a Bunts organization based in Bahrain, has elected Karmar Nagesh Shetty as its president for 2012 – 13. 

Making the above announcement at a press conference held in Mangalore today, Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvali, editor-in-charge of Namma Samparka, said that Bunts Bahrain, under the guidance and leadership of Mr. Shetty, will organize a number of programs as part of its decennial celebrations and raise funds for various welfare schemes. 

He also announced that the organization will hold a get-together at Sitra Baba Garden in Bahrain on September 7 and a summer-cum-induction ceremony in Hotel Ramada Palace on October 19. 

Revealing Bunts Bahrain’s plans for the future, Mr. Shetty said that the organization will not only organize social and cultural events for Bunts, but will also do a lot of social work. The organization takes an interest in constructing homes for the poor, providing educational and medical assistance for underprivileged sections of society, and so on. 

Celebrities such as Sunil Shetty, film actor; N. Vinay Hegde of Nitte University; MLA B. Ramanath Rai; N. Santhosh Hegde, former Lokayukta; Dr. B. R. Shetty of Abu Dhabi; Dr. Mohan Alva of Alva’s Educational Institutions; and Harish Shetty have taken part in events organized by the Bunts Bahrain, he said.
