Udupi, June 22, 2012 : The bodies of the three people who fell into an artificial pond in Moodugiliyaru in Kota were retrieved on June 21, Thursday.

Raju (50), his son Kiran (17), and their relative Narasimha (60) were working in the vicinity of the pond when they accidentally fell in at around 5:30 p.m. When they did not return after a long time, their family members reported to the police.

Police and fire fighting rescue teams finally succeeded in retrieving the bodies.

The pond was created artificially because of continuous removal of clay and was located in between fields.

Narasimha and Raju worked at Malpe Port and Kiran was a student of Kota Viveka PU College.

The Kota police have registered a case.
