Bhajrangis thrash two men taking cow for rearing

Puttur, Nov 29, 2013 : In a shocking incident two persons who were taking a cow for rearing were brutally thrashed allegedly by Bhajrangdal men at a place called Sarve Kallamma in Puttur on November 27, Wednesday evening.

The incident took place when Moosa Kunhi along with his brother-in-law Amir was taking the cow which was given to him for rearing by his employer Suresh Kumar Sorake, a ZP member and brother of Urban Development Minister Vinaykumar Sorake.

When the two were about to reach their residence, a group of around 15 men who were following them in an autorickshaw and bike took them to Kallamma where they were beaten up brutally.

It is learnt, the gang fled the scene when Suresh Kumar Sorake rushed to the spot and questioned them. Based on the complaint by Sorake and Moosa Kunhi, the Sampya police had booked 15 persons of whom two namely Padmanabha, the autorickshaw driver and Kushalappa were arrested on November 28, Thursday. Three others namely Jayaprakash, Tilakraj and Naveen later on surrendered before the court.

It has now been gathered that all the accused are out on bail.
