Bhajrangdal-HJV activists clash in Kalladka ; 2 injured

Bantwal, Aug 31, 2013 : A clash has been reported between Hindu outfits at Kalladka here on August 30, Friday night even as security has been tightened in the area following Thursday night’s incident wherein a Hindu Jagarana Vedike activist was allegedly attacked by Bhajrangdal men at Kumpala.

Hiv 1 The clashes on Friday night, that too over a trivial issue has created panic in the area. Meanwhile, two persons namely Jayaram and Kiran injured in the clashes have been hospitalized.

It is learnt, there was an altercation between Jayaram, a Bhajrangdal man and Kiran a Vedike activist which soon turned into a fist fighting and the situation grew tense when a large crowd gathered on both sides.

Police had to resort to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd. Shops in Kalladka town remained closed following the incident.

Additional police forces have been deployed to avert further untoward incidents.
