Shekhabdulla, known for his annual visits to Ajmer, had suffered a heart attack during a trip there two years ago but survived after timely treatment. His wife had passed away the same year, yet he continued to actively participate in religious and social activities. Friends remember him as a man who channelled personal grief into faith and community service.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter.
