BJP youth protestors demand resignation of PM Manmohan Singh

Mangalore, Aug 30, 2012: The BJP Yuva Morcha (DK district unit) organized a protest meeting in front of the DC’s office on August 30, Thursday, demanding that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should immediately resign.


Kishore Puttur, president of the district unit of the BJP Yuva Morcha, announced in his protest address that the BJP Yuva Morcha will hold an nationwide protest for 2 days under the slogan “UPA Hatao, Desh Bachao.”

Listing out the various scams in which Congress leaders are involved, he said that they have looted the nation of crores and crores of rupees. Referring to the CAG report, which states that allocation of coal blocks to private companies has resulted in a loss of Rs. 1.85 crore, he demanded that this scam must be thoroughly investigated. 


Referring to the prime minister as “corrupt,” he urged members of the public to support the BJP Yuva Morcha in its fight against these scams. Since the PM is in-charge of the coal ministry, he is directly involved in the coal scam, he said, adding that the country’s GDP has plummeted after Singh became the prime minister. 


Sunil Kumar, president of the state unit of the BJP Yuva Morcha, said that the coal scam, which came to light 10 days back, is the biggest scam in Indian history. Calling it the “father of all scams,” he said that PM Manmohan Singh has been in charge of the coal ministry from 2006 to 2009, which indicates his direct involvement in the scam. The coal scam is the latest in the addition of a long list of UPA scams such as Adarsh Apartment scam, 2G Spectrum scam, CWG scam, and others. 


The protestors demanded that the PM should step down immediately, otherwise the BJP will not allow the Parliament to function. The also demanded that the coal scam should be thoroughly investigated.


They also burned an effigy of PM Manmoham Singh on this occasion.
