BJP to launch state-wide agitation against corruption

Mangalore, Aug 20, 2011 : The BJP Yuva Morcha, DK district unit, organized a torch light protest rally on Friday evening, extending their support to Hazare’s anti-corruption movement.

A large number of activists participated in the rally, which commenced in front of the BJP’s office in Kodialbail and ended at Jyothi Circle. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA N. Yogish Bhat, Shrikar Prabhu, Raghavendra Rao, and others participated in the rally.

The rally was organized as soon as the BJP-led state government decided to launch a state-wide agitation against the union government, demanding a powerful Jan Lokpal Bill.

As part of this state-wide agitation, the Mahila Morcha activists will also organize rallies all over the state today.

BJP General Secretary C. T. Ravi said that the activists will organize protests in all the 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka on Aug 22 Sunday.

Allied organizations such as IT Cell, Farmer’s Wing, and others will also participate in the protest in support of Hazare, he said.
