BJP govt in critical state, says District Congress Chief Ramanatha Rai

Ramanath RaiMangalore, Dec 4, 2012: District Congress President and Bantwal MLA B Ramanatha Rai has said that the BJP government has created a conducive environment for the Congress victory in the upcoming assembly elections.


Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office in Mangalore on December 4, Tuesday, he said the state government was in a critical state and has suffered a split owing to Yeddyurappa’s KJP Party. He also accused the state government of creating unnecessary confusion in the minds of the public.


Rai said the Congress in order to strengthen its organization would be holding block level conventions. On the issue of selection of candidates for the elections, he said the party would soon finalize its candidates’ list and release the same.


Stating that dissidence was common in every party, he however said indiscipline has made deep inroads into the BJP. Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde, Kodijal Ibrahim, Mamatha Gatty, Ashraf, Moideen Bawa and others were present.
