BJP demands apology from Shindhe for remarks on party, RSS; warns stir

Mangalore, jan 22, 2013 : District BJP Spokesperson and MLC Monappa Bhandari has said that the party strongly condemned the statement of Union Minister of State for Home Sushil Kumar Shindhe that the RSS and BJP were manufacturing Hindu terrorists. He has also demanded that Shindhe must withdraw his statement and tender an apology to the nation.

Speaking to reporters at the District BJP office, he said there were chances of such a statement from a home minister resulting in unrest and anarchy in the station and ad it did not befit the high post he was holding, He warned that the BJP would hold a severe protest otherwise.

He said the government decision to regularize Kumki lands has come as a great relief for farmers and added about four lakh families from the coastal districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada would benefit from the same.

Padmanabha Kottari, District BJP President, Sulochana Bhat, Balabhavan Committee President, Nitin Kumar, Fisheries Development Corporation Chairman were also present at the press meet.
