Bangalore/ Mangalore Dec 25, 2012  :  In a surprise development, Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has asked Capt Ganesh Karnik, Chairperson of NRI Forum and NB Aboobakker Chairman of Karnataka State Minorities Development Corporation to step down.


karnik 1M Rudresh, Chairman of Kanteerava Studios Ltd, also has been asked to resign.  Speaking to Mangalore Today, Capt Karnik said that there is nothing controversial about the move. “It is party decision that heads of all Corporations who have completed three years to step down to  give opportunity to others he said.


The announcement came soon after the BJP Core Committee meeting on December 24, Monday. Sources said the government has decided to remove all the existing chairmen of boards, commissions and corporations in the days to come and make fresh appointments.

Sources say that Rudresh who has resigned is known as a Yeddyurappa loyalist, Capt Karnik and Aboobakker had remained loyal to the BJP.
