Mangaluru, Mar 05, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has informed that a grievance redressal meeting relating to Ayushman Bharath Scheme will be held on March 8 with the participation of heads of various hospitals, in the backdrop of complaints from the members of the general public.
The Deputy Commissioner provided the above information after distributing Ayushman Bharath Cards to members of the Press Club at a function held at Press Club on March 4, Thursday under the aegis of the DK District Working Journalists’ Union.
He informed that over 23,000 people including 4275 Covid patients have benefitted from Ayushman Bharath Scheme in DK District.
District Nodal Officer Dr Ratnaker who gave information, said a Ayushman Bharath card holder patient has to bear the expenses until his illness is diagnosed. BPL card holders will get free treatment upto Rs 5 lakhs in 32 hospitals while APL card holders can avail 30% of treatment cost under this scheme.
