Mangalore, Sep 17, 2013 : Various organizations including DYDI, Dalita Sangharsha Samithi and Forum Against Atrocities on Women have sought a fresh enquiry into the ASI Srikala harassment case.

The demand comes in the backdrop of the ASI moving the Third JMFC Court in Mangalore once again after the nine member committee constituted by the Commissioner gave a clean chit to the accused ACP TR Jagannath.
Speaking to reporters here on September 16, Monday, Vidya Dinker of the Forum for Atrocities against Women described the probe committee report as biased. She also alleged that ASI Srikala was harassed just because she has raised voice against a higher officer and pointed out that even a constable of a Dalit community has been made to file a case of atrocity against her.
She also pointed out that the accused ACP TR Jagannath has been serving in one place since the past several years and hoped there would be transfer of such officials as per the assurance given by the Chief Minister some time back to transfer police officials serving in one place for over three years.
