AIMIT to present annual management festival Insignia 2012

Mangalore, Mar 12, 2012: Addressing a press conference held at Press Club today, Rev. Fr. Dr. Oswald Mascarenhas SJ, the chairman of the MBA faculty at St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) at Beeri, announced that the institute will present Insignia 2012, its annual management feast, which was earlier held under the name of Verve. 

He said that this 2-day event will be inaugurated by Vishal Hegde, the trustee of Nitte Education Trust, on March 15 at AIMIT and Walter D’Souza, the chairman of FIEO, will preside over the valedictory ceremony on March 16. 

Speaking about Insignia 2012, he said that it is a management fest with a difference as it is a quest for a meaningful dimension to management studies and is based on the theme of “The Blue Oceanic Quest – A Journey beyond Imagination.” The fest aims at exploring the unexplored. The objective of the fest is to help management students explore unexplored territories instead of fighting for their share of the known by teaching them to think out of the box, he said. 

He also said that the institute expects 20 fashion and management institutes to participate in this event in teams of 12 each. The registration fee is set at Rs. 3000 per team, covering food, accommodation, and transport charges. 

The festival will comprise 7 colourful events titled Best Chief Minister, AIMIT Village, Catastrophic Healthcare Management, Sports Management, Fashion and Entertainment, Eco Management, and Personal Investment Planning. 

Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ, the director of AIMIT; Shawn Pereira, the faculty coordinator; and Alston D’Souza, the event manager, were also present.
