Calling the move unscientific, ABVP protestors said that the government of Karnataka has gotten into an agreement with the central government while states such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra have opposed the move to introduce NEET from this academic year. ABVP State Secretary Yatish Kumar P. flayed the state government, calling it “anti-student.”

Since a huge majority of the state’s students have studied according to the state syllabus, they will be unable to do as well as students who have studied according to the central syllabus, said the protestors, urging the government not to introduce NEET from this year.

The ABVP demanded that the state government must withdraw from the agreement made with the central government.
