ABVP demands immediate resignation of PM Manmohan Singh

Mangalore, Sep 4, 2012 : The Akhil Bharathiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday organized a protest at Bunts Hostel Circle, demanding the immediate resignation of PM Manmohan Singh.

The ABVPs protest formed part of a call for a nationwide college bundh and protest jointly given by Youth against Corruption (YAC) and the ABVP. According to the protestors, the PM is morally and politically responsible for the coal scam and should, therefore, resign from his post. They also demanded a judicial probe into the coal scam.

The protestors also demanded that steps must be taken to bring back to India black money stashed away in Swiss bank accounts.

One of the protestors said that the UPA government is involved in a number of scams and is continuously getting involved in more scams at a time when the people are struggling with a wide range of problems such as hike in prices of commodities.
