Reportedly, the driver of a tempo lost control over the vehicle, which turned turtle and fell into a gorge by the roadside. Eyewitnesses say that the driver was going too fast, and after falling into the gorge, the vehicle rolled over thrice.

The tempo was taking workers to the MSEZ work site. The tempo was a Trax Kargo King, built to transport goods, but allegedly used by MSEZ to transport workers to and from the work site. MSEZ employs around 25,000 workers.

Of the 15 workers who were admitted in an injured state to AJ Hospital, two are in a critical condition.

The tempo was carrying 25 workers, all from North Indian states such as Punjab, UP, and Bihar.

Local people, who were furious about the accident, pelted stones at another MSEZ tempo, which was taking workers.
