Mangalore, Apr 8, 2012: Twelve groups of foreign tourists visited Pilikula Nisargadhama recently. The groups consisted of more than 250 members from USA, Australia, Canada, Poland, Germany, and Mexico.


They were given hands on experience of different crafts like pottery, stone carving, cane work, traditional beaten rice, handloom, carpentry, traditional oil extraction with bullock driven gana, and others.

This was a unique experience for them. They also visited the Guthu House, the paddy fields, the arecanut gardens, and others and had a glimpse of traditional village life in this region.


Mr. J.R.Lobo, Executive Director of Pilikula Nisargadhama along with other officers and officials of Pilikula extended full cooperation and support for their visit.
