12 sisters of Bethany congregation celebrate golden jubilee of religious life

Mangalore, Jan 15,2013: Twelve sisters of Bethany Congregation of Mangalore province celebrated golden jubilee of their religious life while one sister celebrated the silver jubilee.

 

 

 

Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, was the main celebrant for the thanksgiving Eucharist held in this connection at Bethany Provincial House, Vamanjoor on January 14, Monday.

The sisters who celebrated the golden jubilee of religious life are Sr M Alwyn, Sr M Angelica, Sr M Antonine, Sr M Camillus, Sr M Concetta, Sr M Florencia, Sr M Helen Mary, Sr M Leonisa, Sr M Milburge, Sr M Patrick, Sr M Raymond and Sr M Severine. Sr M Lisa celebrated the  silver jubilee of her religious life.

Sr Mariette, the Provincial of Mangalore province appreciated the contributions made by the sisters to the society as well as the Bethany congregation and thanked them for their generous service.

The sisters were felicitated  with mementoes. Sr Leonita and Sr Celine spoke on the services rendered by the sisters.

 Fr Richard Vas, Fr James D’Souza, Fr Ajith Menezes, Fr Rohith D’Costa and Fr Roshan Crasta were concelebrants.Sr Christella, Assistant Provincial and several others were present.
