10 couples tie nuptial knot at Rosario Cathedral mass marriage

Mangalore, May 3, 2013 : A  mass marriage programme held at Rosario Cathedral Church here on May 1, Wednesday under the aegis of the St Vincent De Paul Sabha, a service organization. saw 10  couples tie the nuptial knot.

 

 

 

Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Fr Stany Goveas, Parish Priest  and other priests solemnized  the wedding ceremony and celebrated a Holy Eucharist on the occasion.

In his benedictory address, the Bishop exhorted the newly wed couple  to lead a life of mutual love and trust and live in perfect co-operation and understanding.

A function held  later on in the church premises was attended among others by  Rey Castelino, President, Forum of Catholic Businessmen, Professionals and Entrepreneurs, Dolphy D’Souza, Vice President of Rosario Church Parish Council,  Joachim Monteiro, President of St Vincent De Paul Sabha, Joachim Monteiro, Secretary, Philomena Lobo and  Gilbert Pinto,  SVP Central Council Vice President.

 Frederick D’Souza   and Vatsala Clara   lighted the lamp on behalf of the newly weds. Each  couple was gifted with presents worth Rs 4,000 and Rs 5,000 in the form of fixed deposits  by the organisers.

Valerian Fernandes  and Marlene Fernandes who spoke on behalf of the newlywed couple, expressed gratitude to the organizers.
