Two groups clashed over installing a flex of Savarkar and 18th century Mysuru ruler Tipu Sultan on Monday.

A case under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the four arrested men.

Following the incident, Shivamogga District Collector R Selvamani ordered schools and colleges to be closed in the city and Bhadravathi town limits on Tuesday. He said the prohibitory orders at these two places will be on till August 18. The situation is under control, he stated.
