New Delhi, Jan 04: Four days after Coast Guard intercepted a Pakistani fishing boat allegedly carrying explosives off the coast of Gujarat, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (MSA) captured two fishing boats with 12 Indian fishermen from International Maritime Boundary Line off Kutch in Arabian Sea near Jakhau port on Saturday night, Times Now reported on Sunday.

The MSA seized the two boats named Jhelelal and Jalaram.

According to reports, the MSA captured the two boats in retaliation to the tracking and intercepting of the Pakistani boat on New Year’s Day.

On December 31 night, a possible terror attack was foiled when a suspicious Pakistani fishing boat carrying explosives in the Arabian Sea was intercepted near the India-Pakistan maritime boundary, approximately 365 kilometres away from Porbander.

The Pakistani vessel, which had set off from near Karachi on the eve of New Year, turned into a ball of fire and sank after its occupants, believe to be four in number, set fire to it early Thursday, about seven hours after it was spotted following an intelligence tip off.

The Coast Guard had also intercepted two more suspicious boats near Porbandar, two days after four men blew their boat after being cornered by Indian ships.
