No relief for Jitender Singh Tomar, Delhi court defers bail plea hearing for June 16

New Delhi, June 11, 2015: The Delhi court defers hearing of former Delhi law minister Jitender Singh Tomar’s bail plea in fake degrees case for June 16. The court rejects Tomar’s request for interim bail, saying it will further "complicate" the matter in the present circumstances.

Delhi court begins hearing on Jitender Singh Tomar’s bail plea. The AAP MLA yesterday approached the court challenging his arrest in the alleged fake degree case.

Reports emerge that Tomar was not able to identify the Physics lab, his classroom, canteen, administration office at the KS Saket College, where he claims to have completed his B Sc course.

While expressing his views on Twitter Ashutosh says: “We know fight Ag corruption not easy. Empire will fight back.Accusations, conspiracies, torture, jail ,accident , intimidation, threat will pounce.” (Sic)

His another tweet heaped praise on for Javadekar saying that “I know Mr Javadekar is a nice person/gentle/polite/has different morals other than Modi but he has to keep his cabinet too.”

   
The AAP spokesperson took to Twitter account to hit back at Javadekar naming many controversial ministers of the BJP.
   
A day after Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prakash Javadekar dubbed the Tomar episode as a "shameful open-and-shut case of forging papers", AAP leader Ashutosh hit back by attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Tomar was taken to Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday to probe how he secured the law degree that police say is fake. The AAP MLA was taken to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University in Faizabad to know how he got the degree which the university says is a fake, police said.
   
The Delhi Police officials along with Tomar are expected to take a flight to Patna from Lucknow airport shortly.
   
Jitender Singh Tomar, who on Tuesday quit as Delhi Law Minister after being arrested and was sent to four-day police custody, is being taken to Bihar by the Delhi Police to verify the claims of his educational degrees.

Tomar on Wednesday filed his bail application in a sessions court, alleging that Delhi Police did not comply with the requisite legal formalities before arresting him. Seeking bail, Tomar told the court that he has been falsely implicated in the case.

The first-time minister was remanded to four-day police custody by a city court hours after he was arrested for allegedly forging his science graduation, law mark sheets and a migration certificate.

Delhi Police has maintained that KS Saket Post-Graduation College in Ayodhya have told its officials that no B Sc degree and marks sheets were issued in the name of Tomar.

The police said the Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar’s Bhagalpur also termed Tomar’s law degree fake. Law College in Bihar’s Munger from where Tomar claimed he studied law is affiliated to the particular university.

Two cases are pending against Tomar in the Delhi High Court, alleging he enrolled himself as an advocate on the basis of a fake law degree and seeking cancellation of his election.
