Complaint against Instagram over stickers of Lord Shiva, BJP leader demands apology

New Delhi, Jun 09, 2021: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on Tuesday filed a complaint against Instagram for allegedly portraying Lord Shiva in a “bad taste”. BJP leader Manish Singh filed the complaint at the Parliament Street police station in New Delhi against the CEO and other officials of Instagram.
The complaint filed by Delhi BJP leader Manish Singh was lodged against Instagram over a sticker allegedly showing Lord Shiva holding a glass of wine in one hand and a mobile phone in the other while winking.
The sticker was seen on Instagram’s story section. The complaint was lodged against Instagram for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments.
In a video shared on social media, Manish Singh says that he will launch a protest and dharna at Instagram’s office if the stickers are not removed immediately. He has also demanded an apology from Instagram.
