“Release list of govt achievements”: BJP targets Congress amid power tussle

Mangalore Today News Network

Mysuru, May 20, 2026: Criticising the ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ organised by the Congress-led Karnataka government in Tumakuru on Tuesday, BJP Mysuru city unit president L Nagendra alleged that the state government has failed to deliver significant development in the last three years due to internal power struggles among Congress leaders over the Chief Minister’s post and ministerial positions.

Addressing a press conference in Mysuru, Nagendra challenged Congress leaders to publish a list of their achievements during their tenure so far.

“Congress has lost in several states in the recent Assembly elections. If there is no development in the next two years, the party will not return to power in Karnataka either,” he said.

Nagendra also criticised the state government over rising loans and interest payments, alleging that most of the borrowings were being used to fund the government’s guarantee schemes. He further accused Congress leaders of corruption.

Drawing a comparison with development works carried out in Shivamogga and Shikaripura under former chief minister B. S. Yediyurappa, Nagendra claimed that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, despite being from Mysuru, had failed to ensure adequate development in the region.

BJP Mysuru city spokesperson Mohan also criticised the state government over the alleged confusion surrounding land allocation for a NIMHANS model hospital.

BJP Mysuru rural spokesperson Vasanthkumar, former mayor Sandesh Swamy and Mysuru city media coordinator Mahesh Raje Urs were present at the press meet.
