New Delhi, Sep 11, 2025: Couples often go viral on social media for unexpected reasons, from unusual age gaps to striking height differences or unique lifestyles. A Brazilian pair has recently captured widespread attention: Elisane da Cruz Silva, standing at an impressive 6 feet 9 inches, is 1.5 feet taller than her husband, Francinaldo Da Silva Carvalho, who is just 5 feet 4 inches tall.

Regarding their relationship, Francinaldo mentioned in an interview that he fell in love with Elisane at first sight, captivated by her beauty and personality. However, their love story faced taunts and judgement from many in society. Elisane shared, “People often laughed at me, considered me strange. Because of this, I was very upset and even got depressed. But now I do not care about what people say. If the trolls say something, I just ignore them." 

Elisane has a rare medical condition called gigantism, which caused her height to increase much more than normal. She faced numerous difficulties throughout her childhood, but when she met Francinaldo eight years ago, their height difference did not hinder their love.

While Elisane is 6 feet 9 inches tall, her husband is just 5 feet 4 inches. Seeing the couple together, even family members were initially opposed. Francinaldo’s family considered the relationship “strange" and doubted it would last. However, when they witnessed the true love and happiness shared between the two, their opinion changed. After dating for two years, the couple married, and a lovely son, Angelo, was born.

Becoming a mother was not easy for Elisane; she suffered a miscarriage of twins during her first pregnancy, which was devastating. Doctors had also warned that a normal delivery might not be possible. Yet, everything went smoothly during Angelo’s birth, bringing immense joy to both parents.

Four years ago, in an interview with the Daily Mail, Elisane revealed that both her mother and father were of average height. However, due to her medical condition, her height continued to increase, making her the tallest in her class at school. She said, “With increasing age, my height also increased, but during this time, I also experienced immense pain in my bones. The treatment was very expensive." Later, a television show stepped in to support her by covering the costs of her health checkups, which allowed her to pursue modelling.

Today, 29-year-old Elisane is working to fulfil her modelling dreams, with full support from her husband, Francinaldo. Although many people on social media still make shameless comments about their height difference, most users support the couple and admire their enduring love.
