August 16, 2022: Finally! After days of speculations and keeping the news under wraps, Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover have posted an official announcement about their pregnancy. The duo posed dreamy photos from their pregnancy shoot, and dropped photos along with a heartfelt note.

 

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover have finally dropped an official pregnancy announcement. Posting photos from their maternity shoot, the couple looked dreamy as they twinned in white. The first photo had Karan cradling Bipasha’s baby bump and the second had the former kissing it. The pregnancy announcement started with a poem written by the couple and ended with a ’thank you’ note.

It can be read, "A new time, a new phase, a new light adds another unique shade to our prism of life. Making us a little more whole than we used to be. We began this life individually and then we met each other and from then we were two. Too much love for only two, seemed a little unfair for us to see...so soon, we who once were two will now become three. A creation manifested by our love, our baby will join us soon and add to our glee Thank you all, for your unconditional love, your prayers and good wishes as they are and will always be a part of us. Thank you for being a part of our lives and manifesting with us another beautiful life, our baby Durga Durga (sic)."

In March this year, rumours were rife that Bipasha Basu was expecting her first child with Karan Singh Grover. Though the rumours died down slowly, the couple chose to not comment on the matter. In July, it yet again came about that Bipasha and Karan are all set to embrace parenthood. The celeb couple took their own sweet time to announce the ’good news’ with the world and so they did, on August 16.

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover met on the sets of Alone (2015). The couple had often shared in interviews that it wasn’t love at first sight but they bonded and fell in love only after working together. The couple got married on April 30, 2016, in a star-studded wedding ceremony. They later hosted a starry reception for their industry friends that was attended by the who’s who of tinsel town such as Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and others. The couple completed 6 years of marital bliss in 2022.
