UAE-based Malayali nurse killed in Oman road accident, seven injured

Muscut, May 03, 2022: A Malayali nurse was killed and seven others sustained injuries, when a vehicle carrying Malayalee families from UAE to Oman met with an accident in Oman. The deceased has been identified as Sheba Mary Thomas (33), of Chepad at Kayakulam in Alappuzha. Seven people were shifted to Niswa Hospital with serious injuries while Sheba’s body was transferred to Haima Hospital.
The accident occured on Sunday morning at Al Wusta Governorate in Haima.
Sheba, who was working as a nurse in Dubai, and her family were on their way to Salala from Dubai to spent Ramzan holidays. The vehicle they were traveling in overturned at Haima.
Sheba leaves behind her elderly parents, husband Sajimon Raju, 35, daughter Evelyn Maria Saji, 5 and son Edvin Samuel Saji, 2.
