Dubai, January 7, 2026: The funeral of four young Indian expatriate brothers who lost their lives in a horrific car accident in Abu Dhabi on Sunday morning was held on Tuesday afternoon at a cemetery in Dubai. Hundreds of relatives, friends, and community members gathered at the Al Qusais cemetery in Muhaisnah to bid farewell to the four sons of Kerala natives Abdul Latheef and Rukhsana. Many were overcome with emotion as the funeral took place in the presence of the grieving father, who was in a wheelchair, with several attendees moved to tears.
“I have never seen a collective funeral of children from the same family. It was heartbreaking for everyone present,” a social worker who attended the funeral told Gulf News.
As reported by Gulf News on Sunday, the victims—Ashaj (14), Ammar (12), Ayyash (5), and the family’s housemaid Bushra Fayyaz Yahu (49)—were killed in the accident that occurred early Sunday morning while the family was returning to Dubai from the popular Liwa Festival.
The fourth son, Azzam (7), succumbed to his injuries on Monday evening. The parents and their only daughter, Izza (10), are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Abu Dhabi. Bushra’s body was sent home on Monday night, and her funeral was held in Kerala on Tuesday.
