Mangalore, June 03: The Devadiga Sangha of Dubai will hold its 19th annual “UAE Devadiga Get-together” on June 11, Friday in Dubai. The programme, which was originally scheduled to be held on June 4, was postponed in honor of the victims of the Mangalore plane crash of May 22. Dr. Veerappa Moily, the union minister of law and justice, who had consented to be the chief guest of the occasion, had cancelled his visit for the same reason.
Founder President of Tulu Koota Doha Vaman Maroly, Vice President of Devadiga Sangha Mangalore, and former President of Devadiga Sangha Mumbai Dharmapal Devadiga will be the guests of honor.
The programme promises an entire day of entertainment, socializing, and fun from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Several dignitaries from Delhi, Mangalore, Mumbai, and Mangalore will participate in this event.
